Well, I suppose I could tell you that my daughter got a call from an AP the other day.

No, not a BAM AP but one from The Apprentice.

They are doing open auditons and of course my daughter does not live in a city where those were/are being held. They do allow email submissions which is what she did. The email instructions said to include name, city, work and work history, recent photo and answer one question---How the recession has affected your life. Two hours after submitting the email ( I think she did this Tuesday night) Beth got a call from the AP asking her to submit a 5 minute video by 4/13. The phone call lasted about 1/2 hour as the AP liked what she was hearing and was telling Beth how to showcase what they discussed in the video. For the video, Beth has enlisted the help of her cousin that did that Dorito ad. I imagine this is just step two of a very long process.

Wow! You really should have put this news in its own thread instead of hiding it in my gratuitous, little thread.

Even though I don't care for The Apprentice, good luck to your daughter, kusch! I'll watch if there's a BBB playing! :)

No, the one you turned on to sushi that has since cost me untold $$$$ when I let her choose the restaurant.

That's right, blame me for refining her tastes. But how many sushi bars does Minot have? And do they serve whale?

How cool is that!

I don't watch the Celebrity version, but I would watch if your daughter made it!

Keep us informed of the progress!

Oh good for Beth!

I have been hoping they would go back to the original version, with real people going for a job.

Mind you, I do get some very good giggles from the "celebrity" shows. I was totally amazed at how competent Blago was at vocalizing a lot of words without one real thought or comment. He is the epitome of the political ideal. I am stunned that he was fired............again

No, I had Toastmasters and then I was busy at work, and then I ran errands on my lunch hour.

AND THEN I LOOKED IN ON MY FORMERLY FAVORITE MESSAGE BORED AND FOUND A MONSTROSITY!!!!!!!!

That mangy rodent has gone too far this time! I never heard of this guy before, but he's right about ES:

Hanover Fiste: He's nothing but a low-down, double-dealing, backstabbing, larcenous perverted worm! Hanging's too good for him! Burning's too good for him! He should be torn into little bitsy pieces and buried alive!
