American Trivia of the Day
In those doughty days of May, 1973, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (together with the Columbia Symphonic Band) added to its extensive catalogue of Americana by recording an album of marches, most by John Philip Sousa. Several of the marches got new lyrics for this project. Which one got lyrics which changed its meaning completely from the "original intent" of Mr. Sousa?
