Spoiler
The only place I've seen a massive statue of Akhenahten was in Dallas, Texas, when some Egyptian art exhibit was wending its way through the nation -- but that wasn't in a pyramid. This pyramid doesn't look like the front of the Vegas casino, and the back of the hotel would have dempster dumpsters instead of a statue, so I will guess the only other U.S. pyramid I can remember, although I've never seen it up close -- the one in Memphis, Tenn.

Initial gut reaction is the Luxor in Vegas, but considering there ain't nary a car in the parking lot and I've never seen a southern, northern yes, but not southern Nevada, sky like that, it's probably not the Luxor. But it's all I got! :D

Just to let you know, Snaxx, this is a cool game and I'm not dissing your efforts, but just as some won't play LS because they're not good at retaining lyrics, I won't play this because I can barely find my back yard. I'm not geographically inclined. I could identify Disney World, The Rock Hall of Fame and several sports stadiums, but beyond that ,I'd be pretty pathetic. I'll watch this game from the sidelines...

Dumpsters!?!? Oh, hotels on the Vegas strip pay more attention to detail than that! On the back (western) side of the pyramid there's the swimming pools, with an elevated walkway crossing a street to the parking deck. The dumpsters are well-hidden! :)

I certainly understand as I am closer to the reverse, only playing LS now and then (including now).

It was the Pyramid in Memphis TN, former host to sports and entertainment events. I did not see any events there, as nothing was scheduled on my previous trip and it was closed by 2008. Maybe because of its shape and that it is smaller than the Luxor hotel, it did not look big enough to me for a 20K capacity basketball arena.

I was wondering if I would get Luxor responses; at first there were none and then they started to pour in later. I've also visited the Luxor although I stayed at NYNY.

Quite a few came up with Memphis for three points:
Seersucker
Weyoun
Minty Man
AJ
littlebeast
frogman
Marley
Flock
Uly
mcd1400de
Bob Juch
SC
BiT
DK
bazodee

And an honorable mention to the Luxor (or other locations) people:
megaaddict
christie1111
Rexer
Saucy
plasticene
kroxquo
jarnon
Bob78164
clem

For once I'll steal an idea from the LS games and award a JJC point to Pea for "I clearly have been no where", clem for the "Yay! I know one", and tlynn for "not in Cody or Billings"

Test week totals:
9 SC
9 Bob Juch
7 Uly
6 Seersucker
6 AJ
6 littlebeast13
6 Marley
6 Minty Man
6 mcd1400de
6 Flock
6 bazodee
6 frogman
6 DevilKitty
4 BiT
3 Sprots
3 christie1111
3 plasticene
3 kroxquo
3 Esto
3 southnyack
3 Confessor
0+1 Pea
0+1 clem
0+1 tgirl

I forgot to mention that southern California has its own pyramid...

I would be upset but I just scored my first ever UNINTENTIONAL JJC POINT thus cementing my place as awesomest person alive. And if I'd looked a little closer instead of thinking I was a jenius right away, I wouldnt've known the answer and I would never have gotten said point. Thus :D .

Awesome!

The Luxor is a cool place, though, isn't it? I like it even though, at 15 years old, it's getting a bit elderly for hotels on the strip.

It was fantastic. It also had my third-favorite casino floor on the Strip (Paris-Las Vegas and Caesars being the other two). But it was definitely fun just to walk around in. Betcha they don't have anything like that in Ithaca.... :(
