I try to read in my writing genre (middle grade) every third book, or so. This one was well-written, but a little quiet for my typical tastes. It's way too much like homework.
I'm a childrens' book writer but not much of a childrens' book reader.

That's exactly how I read it. I really enjoyed it, and it was the perfect length.minimetoo26 wrote:I read Disclosure a billionty years ago and I remember liking it. Never saw the movie.
Still plowing through I Want My MTV--it's long and there's no plot, so it's easy to keep putting down after each chapter, but an interesting read for me. I'm the correct demographic!
I hated, hated, hated this book.MarkBarrett wrote:A woman learns the gambling business. The movie will be out later this year.
I enjoyed this one. The sequel, The Magician King, is even better. Like, lots better.ToLiveIsToFly wrote:
Told my sister I was reading it, and she said "Yuck, Harry Potter with sex." I don't see it that way, and so far I'm liking it a ton.
