Last year, Japan changed the name of Iwo Jima back to its prewar name, Iwo To. Both names mean Sulfur Island.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$25000

No idea on the AI pop culture Q. The rest were big fat softballs.

Never heard of B or D, and IIRC Hicks won in 2007 so wouldn't have been doing the music. That leaves only B. But in the HS I probably would have used ATA, not being sure enough of my reasoning.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$4000

Iwo Jima is a volcanic island, I believe. I'd have gone with B without hesitation.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$25000

Re: Transcript 3/5/2008 Tamiko Bell-Baccus (Carry-over)
I think it is volcanic, but that would still have left Fire Island as a logic distractor. This question was undervalued, IMHO. I've seen both of the recent movies about Iwo Jima and I don't believe either bothered to mention the translation.earendel wrote:Iwo Jima is a volcanic island, I believe.
