I saw Hoffa's picture on the TV from a distance this morning and thought

Re: No Hoffa post yet?
I don't think we have a post on King Richard III of England either, lately; some human remains of which may or may not be his have been excavated from under a parking lot at the one-time site of a ruined church where his body could have been taken in 1485.
I had been thinking of starting a thread called "move over, Jimmy" at the time of the stories on R III.
of course, the odds are that neither of these sets of remains will be the 'right' ones.

Actually, I kind of remember stuff about Richard III several months ago - maybe it wasn't here, though... Interesting stuff, there. Hoffa, not so much.

Dammit! I didn't bother to read the responses before I posted because what are the odds that somebody is going to beat me to a 15th century England reference??etaoin22 wrote:I don't think we have a post on King Richard III of England either, lately; some human remains of which may or may not be his have been excavated from under a parking lot at the one-time site of a ruined church where his body could have been taken in 1485.

Considering where you are posting, the odds weren't that off....

Re: No Hoffa post yet?
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that this was the topic of the only $2.5 million question ever seen on Super Millionaire.
Bob-O Essig walked away from:
"The last known siting of labor leader Jimmy Hoffa was on July 30, 1975 at which Michigan restaurant's parking lot?"

I hadn't heard that one. Might be WWOQ material on SyndieBAM, if they stress the "buried under a parking lot" angle!etaoin22 wrote:I don't think we have a post on King Richard III of England either, lately; some human remains of which may or may not be his have been excavated from under a parking lot at the one-time site of a ruined church where his body could have been taken in 1485.
