I need cheering up. All the recent posts don't help. :(

I allegedly won the grand prize in my grandson's baseball league raffle: a 2013 Sportsman 500 ATV. I say allegedly, because although several friends/relatives were at the opening day drawing and heard my name, and a LL board member called to congratulate me, I have yet to receive it. I was told by the board member the league president would contact me on Monday. That would have been a week ago. I have yet to hear from him, in spite of one email and two phone messages left for him by me.
It will be fun to have. If I get it. I hope it's red.

I won a Masters pool for $187, and a Home Depot gift card for $100 playing solitaire online.

Well, let's see. We had torrential rains all weekend in Tennessee. However, at around noon on Friday we left for a quick trip to Hilton Head - Sunny and warm. Even got just a touch of sunburn.

AND, today is the youngest Jaybee child's birthday. 16 years old for Saucy's little buddy. This is the one that came real close to dying in a car wreck just shy of his 5th birthday so being a strapping 6'-1" tall sixteen year-old is pretty damn good.

Just got back from a lovely trip to the Gulf Coast with Skoop's mom. I was able to show her my new swim suit I got since I have lost 28 lbs. :) I leave for 11 days in Athens, Greece on May 31. That's good news to me anyway.

When Mini-me hit the window with the baseball, only broke the outside pane of glass. Good news because it rained all day yesterday.

Plus his truly awful rec league team actually won two games. He figured since there was no fielding behind him he'd just have to strike everyone out...

They call him K-9. Actually, he was K-19 for the game he pitched Saturday since two kids showed up wearing their old jerseys, so we had 2 9s and two 3s. The first game was against a team from our league who knew the kids by name so they didn't care but for the second game against a visiting team they took bat tape and became 19 and 31 (we already had a 13...)

The Dutch have a new king, and are celebrating by riding bicycles around Amsterdam, smoking pot and going to brothels. (not). (why waste a good stereotype, or two, or three?)

There's a very cool place to do that, a little more than an hour south of Amsterdam. It is a floating bridge called the Hovenring and it's featured in the current National Geographic.

Buffette had missed passing her algebra Virginia state test by one question two times in a row...needs to pass to eventually get her high school diploma. She took it again on Wednesday...we offered to get her tutoring but she begged us to let her study on her own--which we did.

Passed.

My niece is in Amsterdam right now - I'll have to tell her about that bridge if she hasn't discovered it herself yet.

Follow up X-ray shows that the pneumonia is completely cleared up, there are no tumours or mysterious shadows in the lungs, just some scar tissue from the pleurisy that should clear up with some breathing exercises. Heart is strong and no blockages.
