Fun At The Ol' Ballpark

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Wed May 29, 2013 2:50 pm

A few people here knew I was in KC again last week. I just came across this story, which documents one of the interesting things I saw while I was there...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1650 ... -the-bunny

The guy ran out from the front of my section, which was about 2/3 of the way down the right field line. I don't know what was more amusing about this incident.... the cop completely whiffing on the tackle, or the fact that Angels reliever Michael Kohn was the coolest customer in the ballpark despite the action going on right at his feet....

I could have had some of my world famous shitty photography of this had I not forgotten the camera battery....

I'd have thought they sell batteries in KC...

I saw the incident reported on the interwebs and asked my BiL if he had heard about it. He was watching the game, but, as the article states, what was displayed on TV was very brief. He must have looked away, because he knew nothing about it.

It isn't your average battery, it's a special square shaped battery.... and I left it at the hotel on the charger, not realizing it until the first time I tried to turn my camera on at the game and wondered why it was dead....

BTW, your Angels are now 6-0 when I see them in KC (8-2 overall). I'd be happy to travel as a good luck charm on Arte's dime....

I know what you mean. The last three digital cameras I got were all Canon Powershot series A(something), A2200, then A2300. All use slightly different batteries with their own charger. I have three batteries and three chargers that are all incompatible with each other and anything else I have.

I had a Minolta once that took it's own block-type lithium battery, but the compartment was designed to accept 4 AA (maybe it was AAA) batteries, too. That feature really came in handy traveling through Estonia in the late 80's...
