It's been an eventful couple of days....

#1 Post by Sistine Fanny » Mon Aug 19, 2013 6:31 am

Yesterday, I became a great aunt. (Which I somehow don't have as hard a time processing as the fact that my sister is now a GRANDMA!!!1)

Today, I officially became a non-smoker.

Who knows what's on tap for tomorrow. Maybe I'll achieve world peace. Hey, everybody I know thought I'd manage that before I managed to quit smoking.....ha!
It's the Final Countdown.....

My last cigarette was August 18, 2012. It takes a year before you're officially recognized as a non-smoker (by insurance companies and I think some employment situations).

I've wanted to smoke more the last couple days that I have all year. I think it was just a mental thing about the one year coming up, or maybe that I'd already purchased my reward (an iPad). Now that it's official, they aren't dancing before my eyes like this weekend.....ha!

Yes, I had more to do with the non-smoker part so I can take more credit for that one. Ha!

Congratulations on both accomplishments.

The second is especially noteworthy since it requires a heck of a lot more work (at least on your part) than the first.

Keep it up.

I stole this from Calvin and Hobbes.
