Walking across Greenland

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Mon Aug 19, 2013 9:41 am

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a verdict of death by misadventure and added: “Never was a verdict more appropriate.”
Some of the cold hard facts.
Mr Goodeve-Docker died before rescuers reached them on April 28.

His body was found upright and frozen stiff.

No Bob I thought you got your information from the likes of the Atlantic about melt water a few feet deep at a spot 300 miles from the pole that had already drained by the time you made your post.
