Walking across Greenland
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Some of the cold hard facts.Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a verdict of death by misadventure and added: “Never was a verdict more appropriate.”
Mr Goodeve-Docker died before rescuers reached them on April 28.
His body was found upright and frozen stiff.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

No Bob I thought you got your information from the likes of the Atlantic about melt water a few feet deep at a spot 300 miles from the pole that had already drained by the time you made your post.Bob Juch wrote:Did you think I was joking?themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:No you can'tBob Juch wrote: No, but you can swim at the North Pole.

Heck, I don't even recommend trying to walk to where the ice cap begins, much less all the way across! It is a very long way and that is the warm part...

It is pretty though. Until you freeze to death in a white out.
