CSLS 11/13:Earendel Edition

#1 Post by ShamelessWeasel » Wed Nov 13, 2013 8:08 am

Today's CSLS comes from Earendel. Earendel will get the high score for the day

1 point for song 1 point for Artist

3 points for Theme

2 points for Krox.

1. I've never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind a crowd

2. I knew just what to say
Now I found out today
That all the words had slipped away

3. I got gloss on lips, a man on my hips
got me tighter in my Dereon jeans

4. Music can be such a revelation
Dancing around you feel the sweet sensation
We might be lovers if the rhythm's right

5. You gotta roll, roll, roll
You gotta thrill my soul all right
Roll, roll, roll, roll
Thrill my soul

6. Please let's forget the past
The future looks bright ahead

7. Life is very short and there's no time
for fussing and fighting, my friend

8. I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school
or steal my daddy's cue and make a living out of playing pool

9. Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true
Baby then tere wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do

10. It took all the strength I had not to fall apart
Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart
And I spent oh, so many nights just feeling sorry for myself

We Can Work It Out - The Beatles

This was the one snippet in today's game that was immediately familiar to me. I could hear this play clearly in my mind...but I couldn't recall a bit of what preceded or followed it. I'm not sure how many times I must have mentally replayed it before something finally clicked!

A small success for the day, I hope.

It's funny there have been so many themes that have stumped the masses so far in the CSLS, because that's how most of my LSWE games end up. However, I have a feeling my CSLS game will be one of the most straightforward themes of the entire month....

I was thinking along those lines, as in "part of a double-sided hit", but a couple didn't fit that profile, so I didn't pull the trigger.
