Brain Bus in Myrtle Beach

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sun May 04, 2008 4:18 pm

After reviewing the contestant FAQ, I decided to ride to MB on Friday for the Brain Bus. There was a big turnout for the Bus. I was in line for about an hour before taking the qualifying test. I passed, but the audition invitation said I couldn't re-test if I had taken the test in the last year, I confirmed that and went home. It was a pleasant enough trip.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

You are in the pool from last year? I think they were saying you're in for 18 months.

I'm glad you see it as a pleasant trip and not wasted. Good luck!

I got an audition in Atlanta as a result of last year's online test. I was in Atlanta in late May 2007 so I in the pool until October.
