This weeks rankings- Blistered in the sun edition

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Thu May 01, 2008 1:11 am

Since I was at the ballgame today and came away looking like a rock lobster, I thought I'd dedicate this edition of the rankings to my favorite song that's popped up on the Bored a few times very recently..... :P

I moved! I moved! Now to get above that big batch of missing-and-missed BB's.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I will not tell you exactly how many posts you need to do the big, big, big hop I've been teasing you about, but all I'll say is that if you have anything you want to say on the Bored, the next seven days will be the time for you to let it out....

Thank you, Mr. Beast. I'll try to let it out. If it gets too cold, though, I may have to put it back in. Or at least wear a long coat.

The shinycar is coming to get me.

I'm around so seldom these days that I might not even notice as she goes right past me.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Doesn't it take 250 posts to make the expanded list? LB is crediting me with 90 posts from previous Boreds so I need 160 on this Bored to make the next expanded list. That is my goal.

Hmmmm.... I have a 300 oz. Purex box full of junk I've collected over the years... some of it dating back to when I was a kid. A lot of it stuff I literally found laying around (cue long-lost MM Juan Antonio Samaranch) that has absolutely no value at all but reminding me that I'm a pack rat who likes to collect strange trinkets and artifacts. Some of it is shiny and pretty, and I would probably cry if anyone ever took it away from me....

As for demanding, well..... I'm not quite BDM, but....

I get a burn like this pretty much every year at the first day game I see, though I can say I've never come close to the scorching I got back in '96 when we went to Denver and I saw that first game at Coors Field. I guess going from 93,000,000 to 92,999,999 miles away from the sun makes a lot of difference....

I also burn too easily being a creature of the night. Sunscreen doesn't help at all, I've burned right through it before. Me and the sun aren't the best of friends (Not that it needs to be out, I've gotten wicked burns on completely gray and cloudy days too).....

Finally! proof that the Beast is really a vampire
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

You're Super Rare too.

You're Super and you're Rare.

And you look rare too, until you start to peel. Then you'll look like you have leprosy!

I still recommend the sunscreen to help deflect some of the cancer-causing rays. Or maybe my nonmedical lecture is inadequate. One of my uncles sunburns on gray days too. He's a lot older than you and never leaves the house without a hat and long sleeves, never wears shorts either. He musta got all the Welsh genes; Mom musta got all the Italian genes. Thanks, Mom!
