Humboldt Fire update

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Mon Jun 16, 2008 7:31 am

MarleysSister/BIL/Nephew still have a home! :D

The fire has burned through 23,000 acres and destroyed 74 other homes, but they're now calling it 80% contained. My reports are spotty and second-hand, but the firefighters have been on the property, bulldozing firebreaks and holding the line.

I'm sure there will be lots more stories, once my sister has time for a phone conversation.

Whew - too close, but glad it's looking good for your family.

I'm glad they were spared. It must be a terrible feeling not knowing.

I am glad to hear they are OK. What state is that in?

I can answer this. Northern California near Chico which is just east of interstate 5 and northwest of Lake Tahoe.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.
