SNL Tonight
Tonight NBC is going to air the very first Saturday Night Live, hosted by George Carlin.

That was really interesting to watch, for a variety of reasons. I don't think I saw the original broadcast 33 years ago. There were lots of good segments, and lots of potential trivia questions. They crammed a lot of stuff into the first show. George Carlin, Andy Kaufman, Valri Bromfield, Billy Preston, Janis Ian, and much more. I didn't realize the Killer Bees and the Triple Trac razor came from the very first episode. Don Pardo stumbled on the words of "Not Ready For Prime Time Players."

Any West Coasters should tune in tonight. I wonder what ever happened to Valri Bromfield. Her appearance on the historic first SNL episode didn't make her a household name.
