I think it's much more interesting that you took a trip all the way to Detroit than that George crossed the river from there into Windsor. :P

I've taken a baseball trip the third week of September for the last four years now. Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Detroit.... next closest park I haven't been to now is in Arlington. 700+ mile drive though... we'll see if it's on tap for next year or not....

Another hit from Alaska--and this one is about as far out there as George can go! 8)

That's pretty cool! I don't have a hit from the Aleutians yet....

I do, however, now have quintuple digit hits.....

George went to England, today! And notice the finder's profile. How in the world does someone overseas find 2,739 Wild Georges!?

Ok......looked at the WG site and the stats. How in God's green earth does an individual have the time to enter in excess of 2 million bills worth in excess of 5 million dollars??? Does he have an off-shore sweat shop set up set up somewhere with 3 or 4 hundred little kids entering data? Crimoney.

I'll assume you are referring to Wattsburg Gary (who I also happened to get a hit from yesterday), who is the top Georger on the site. I do have it on good authority that he has "helpers" enter bills for him from time to time....

Still, he's way more addicted than I am. Since we were forced into direct deposit 3 years ago, I don't get as many ones from the bank as I used to...

Missouri became my 43rd state, today!

And then, for good measure, I got a second hit in Missouri, less than an hour later! One George had been in the wild over three years, the other less than month, but they both report in from a missing state at nearly the same instant.

Weird! 8)

LOL!

There are only 17 Missouri counties (out of 115 total) I have yet to get a hit in, and your first Missouri hit was in one of them!

I got back one of my own Georges, today. I think that's happened once or twice before, but with quick turn-arounds where it was obvious George had stayed in the cash register where I spent him, before getting him back the next day. This time, George stayed in the wild since August before coming home! :)

I got back another of my Georges. This time, I couldn't even log it as an "alternate hit" because they said I already entered the bill "recently".

I've only gotten back one of my own on a few occasions (never since the alt hit feature was added), but I never tried to re-enter it. I always did a Bill Lookup (I think that's even available to non-FOG's) to confirm it was mine, then just altered the bill note I left to add when and where I had gotten it back....

Well, I strongly suspected this was one of my own, from the WG stamp I use around the FRB seal, but it might have been someone else's wild.

Actually, checking on the "My Bills" page, I see I only found one wild bill in all of 2012! :(

A doubly big WG day for me!

For the first time, one of my Georges got a 4th hit; all from different states, too! 8)

http://www.wheresgeorge.com/report.php? ... 3753df8a36

And just one minute after that hit, I got my first hit from a real-life friend, with a George I entered last June being found by the wife of one of my high school buddies! :D

Double woo hoo!

Don't be so negative! You only have about 9350 more hits to go.... should I happen to never get another hit.....

Well, if all of my Georges report in with a hit today, I'll be nearly there.

BTW, did you notice what I posted last night? I still think that's freaky weird! Just like how we speculate about a BB ever finding another BB's George, but in this case it really happened.

That George, BTW, came from my historic trip into NYC when I auditioned for both J! and WWTBAM on the same day. WWTBAM rejected me, of course, while J! has left me treading water in their contestant pool. But it was still a day to remember!

I watched the guy in front of me at a cash register pay with a marked bill Friday, and I was so tempted to ask him, "Did you enter it?!!" But he probably would have thought I was a stalker or a buttinsky.

If the friend lives nearby, wouldn't say it's all that odd. My family and co-workers find my bills every once in a while...

If they live outside of the Ithaca area, then I'd say it's a bit neater....

Okay, more details are necessary. I didn't post a link to that George because she has personal identification in her profile, including her e-mail address.

Remember, I didn't grow up in Ithaca. I received the bill in NYC and entered it from my parent's house in NJ. (I think I spent it in NJ, too, but I'm not certain of that.) The stats of the hit don't sound too impressive:
This bill has traveled at least 14 Miles in 297 Days, 22 Hrs, 4 Mins at an average of 0.05 Miles per day.
It is now 14 Miles from its starting location.
Those 14 miles extend across the width of a county with 800,000 people (and a whole lotta Georges) in it. So I think it's pretty impressive.

BTW, I didn't know my friend was a Georger, but her overall rank is pretty close to yours!
