Jay Rosenberg frogman042
Austin, TX
Software Consultant

Jay now named his ten children from youngest to oldest as they showed his avatar picture again.
15 years ago when daughter Rachel was 5 years old, she made a tie from scratch, and it has been his special tie, he wore it to his oldest son's wedding, and has it on right now. If he wore nothing else, he made sure he'd have that tie on.

$50K- The traditional Quebecois dish poutine is a combination of cheese curds and gravy served atop what?
A. Crepes B. French fries
C. Fried eggs D. Mushrooms

Expert Lyn Payne ($500K winner) called at :36
Meredith asks what Lyn did with her winnings, she saved most of it, gave a large amount to Dress for Success, an organization that helps needy women re-entering the work force to buy good work/interview clothing.

Spoiler
Lyn does not know, says gut feeling fried eggs but suggests not going with her

Double-Dip called at :22
First answer C, Fried Eggs. Mere says Lyn was right... to suggest not going with it.
Jay thinks that french fries would be too recent for a 'traditional' dish. Second answer D, Mushrooms, given at :07, also wrong. Correct answer was french fries.

Jay leaves with $25,000.

Despite the tough food question, that was a great run!

Congrats to the frogman!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Excellent run Jay!

I think of myself as a foodie and did not know the answer to that Q.

You seem very pleased with your experience, and if I ever get the same chance, I hope I feel as pleased with the outcome.

I came home at lunch both days to watch and was glad I did.

Congratulations!

Terrific run in the hotseat, and a terrific portrait by the squirrel.

I do have one question for lb, though:

Why did you decide to make him a frog? :D

Jay, the thing I liked best about your appearance is the love and admiration you showed for every member of your family. I was enchanted by the way you described your tie, and why it was important to every special occasion. (For those who didn't get to see the show, his daughter painted it years ago.) Although I wish you could have kept going in your stack, your love for your wife and kids is worth so much more than Millionaire has ever given away!

Frogman! You did a terrific job on the show, and many congrats on hitting that level - a great accomplishment. Your charm came shining through, and I know your family is just beaming with pride. The kids have got to be ultra-amped with their new celebrity status... What a thrill for the whole bunch of ya!

Now, down to the nitty-gritty... Super cool tie. And nice haircut! :D

I'm sorry you got stopped by this question, Jay. I'm guessing that Lyn doesn't see much poutine being served in Florida. :(

ES has really outdone himself with this portrait! 8)

Jay, congrats on the appearance, sorry about the stumper, and I'm sorry I missed taping this episode because that tie sounds fantastic. Have a happy new year.

Great run, Jay, and again, great use of lifelines.

I have an urge to put together a field trip to visit our Canadian pals and have a heaping plate of poutine.

And then we can look at the US flag and count the rows of stars.

And then...
I am about 25% sure of this.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the "I hate $50,000 food questions, they suck a lot, but it's okay because I won $25,000" Club!!

As far as I know, you and I are the only members of this club, but I'm sure there will be more...

But you did great, and you have to be pleased with the way you played the game. YAY!!!!

Come back through New England, and note the leaves falling off the trees, and try to recall the name of that process...
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.
