Transcript 10/02/08 - Larry Kanturek (carryover)

#1 Post by BBTranscriptTeam » Thu Oct 02, 2008 6:29 pm

Larry Kanturek
Lakeview, AK
Computer technician

Larry's journey to the Hot Seat began three years ago. After auditioning in Houston, he was picked for the show and on his way to the airport when he collapsed in the car and had to be rushed to the hospital; a very bad bacterial infection cost him his right foot. The same thing had happened a year before to his left foot, which is why he's in a wheelchair. A year later, he was picked for the show again, but he was still in rehab and couldn't attend. The third time's the charm, and this time Larry said he was coming, no matter what!

Larry's parents, Clarence and Mary Anne, are in the audience.

Larry also wants to ride in a charity bike race, in 2010, from Houston to Austin, TX.

$2K: I would also have asked the audience here.
BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$8,000 * Transportation
Opened in 1853 and known as "the Underground," what city's subway system was the world's first?

A: Chicago B: Paris
C: London D: Berlin
I'm pretty sure this question has been asked on the show before, but without the "Underground" giveaway and several levels higher on the money tree.

$25K: I know pinot noir is an actual name of a grape, but that's it. PAF.

$50K: I will ask Ogi as well.

$100K: I read "The Crucible" in high school and I saw ABC's "A Raisin in the Sun" earlier this year. I know both of those are wrong. Double Dip on D and then A.

I would be going for $250,000, no lifelines left.
