Teacher Week

Judy Kay Frome
Las Vegas, NV
Fourth Grade teacher

Judy milked cows for twenty years, then had five kids as a stay-at-home mom, before becoming a teacher. Judy likes fourth graders because they can read and write and no hormones have kicked in. Judy collects a folder of love letters her students write to her. Her favorite one was written to her by Emily Burden four years after she had been Judy's student, who said that, for the first time in her life, Judy had made learning fun.

Judy has a little treasure box of prizes for students who do great things in her class. Judy spends about $400 to $500 of her own money on this. Meredith presents Judy with a $1,000 gift certificate from CVS.

Nancy Christy is introduced as today's Expert. Nancy is holding herjosie.

$8K: It's either Van Halen or Bon Jovi. Ask the audience.

How coincidental that they ask this question the day after I post the Golden Moldie of Dean Friedman's "Ariel". Although the song was not one of the four choices, I did know that Ariel is a moon, an award, and a Shakespearean character.

$100K: I'm between Crockett and Boone. Let's try the PAF and see if his or her Google fingers are fast enough for the quote in question. If that doesn't work, DD on Crockett.
