Michael J. Fox was not big and muscular and I don't recall Alex Keaton doing a lot of dancing. I do seem to recall him wearing sweaters, although they were usually solid colors. Did Alan rule him out, or forget about him?

Weren't they sweater vests for Alex Keaton? Or am I remembering that wrong? All I know is I always wished my name was Mallory instead of Valerie, it just sounded way cooler. I loved Family Ties.

It seemed clear to me that Alan Thicke knew the correct answer immediately and was just going for humor points. It's a little harder to make fun of Michael J. Fox these days considering his unfortunate illness.

J.K. Shakespeare?! Is this a combination Harry Potter/Shakespeare question? Terrific... two categories I suck at.

Nihil obstat® so far.

What the heck are "Slulls"? :?

This stack really seems to be loaded with sweater questions, since that's what the TV Icons question was about, too.

Hard to believe this required a lifeline, given the number of Zyrtec commercials that appear on TV.

Cosby also was noted for wearing various college sweatshirts, which might have been more memorable for the contestants. If they had to use a lifeilne, this was the one to use. Thicke was being "sold" as an expert on TV trivia.

Given the allergies in Jeff's family, they would have known this question.
