I missed today's show. The stupid TV station showed a rerun from last season-the one with the firefighter who wanted to retire to Hawaii.

$4K-I love tilapia. It's one of my favorite kinds of fish.

good stack for the contestant with lots of "wordy" stuff. Must have been a bit of a battle for a few seconds at least in his head at the final level, with only two English (British) explorers on the list, and a ship name that is English. Of course, one could have translated from another language, but would one? PTB got in any case their wish of a strong contestant sweating for a few seconds.

Fictional families might have favored him at 250K but could have come from comic strip, TV, advertising or another source a creative writing teacher might not himself favour.

I knew this one from having sailed on the National Geographic Endeavor.

$16K: ATA for me. Pop culture is a real mixed bag for me. Some information is retained, other stuff just skips off the bald dome and back off into mediaspace.

$25K: Sign of the times that such a large majority of the audience knows that much detail about credit scores.

$50K: Had the right answer, but in The Chair, I'm not sure I would have gambled with three lifelines left. Let's assume I used PAF here.

$100K: And another one where I knew the answer, but the time constraints might have gotten me. PAF if I didn't use it on the $50K, DD otherwise.

I'd accept looking at $250K with a lifeline left, even if it's only the crapshoot that is known as ATE. Potential of having three LLs if I'd been gutsy enough.
