Macy's Parade

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Fri Nov 23, 2007 7:52 am

I found out yesterday that Amy would have gone with me.

Dang

Maybe the weather will be as great next year and we will go then.

The boys could cook.

They could.

Buy them a turkey fryer for Christmas. Irresistible to guys, cool gas flame, lots of boiling oil, the injector thingy, the possibility of really catastrophic explosion and fire!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Avoid giving suitguy and sting a chance to be alone together.

Adventure Boy was on a 24-hour shift in the firehouse yesterday. They expected action, on the theory that freezing temperatures would mean at least one person would try to use the deep fryer inside the garage.

One of those insurance ads said that on average, 15 people would set their domiciles on fire on Thanksgiving, so we should buy their insurance.
