Does Apple really think they're getting a good ROI by advertising iPhones?

Doesn't everyone who wants what it does already have one or have one on their Christmas list?

If they want to sell more, they need to come up with a "killer app".

I like the idea of an iPhone, but I didn't want to switch from Verizon to AT&T and have to pay $400 for the phone that might have problems in the first generation.

They lowered the prices after I committed to Verizon for two years.

Maybe when my contract is up, I will switch.

I think they're trying to keep the buzz alive. There are people like me who are still on the fence about buying one. I'm not happy about the battery situation, and there is no "killer app" as you mention.

I like the fact that you can have an iPod and a phone in one device.

I have a Motorola Q and I am unimpressed with its ability to play my library of music.

The Nokia N95 North American Edition is far better than an iPhone.

I'm in the same situation as PSM, having gotten a new 2-year Verizon contract while the iPhone was new. As far as playing iPod music and video, I already have an iPod nano.

Today's news is that Verizon is 'opening up' and allowing those with unlocked Sprint or Verizon-compatible phones to use Verizon service. However, the unlocked iPhones are incompatible with Verizon's service.
