Her name was "Harshman". But she will have a new name very soon.

Looks pretty good... but that $50,000 Body Piercings question really intrigues me.

$1K: I've never heard of this show. I'll have to ask the audience.

I don't know who was dumber: Cheryl for using a lifeline, or the 6% of the audience who actually think that paper burns at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

And this is a prime example of why you should read each question and each answer very carefully.

It's been a LONG time since I went to Mt. Rushmore-1977 to be exact. Double Dip or ATA here. Why do contestants guess when they have lifelines to use? I can't figure that out.
I'm just a game show nerd.

She said her church would kill her if she missed the $100 question?

I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.

I hate "not" questions.

That would give me hotseatitis quicker than just about anything else.

And we'd all be yelling at you. Following the TV show "Moonlight" and the theatrical movie "Twilight," there is a new show with "Blood" in the title and "synthetic blood" as a major plot point, and you wouldn't take a shot at "vampire" on a $1k question?

I think Cheryl rushed into this answer; if she had taken time to think about it she might have come up with the correct answer. One could blame the clock but she really had plenty of time.

Nihil obstat® for me.

Once again, ear is thinking like I do. :)

And for audience skeptic clem, I'll point out that The Damned Clock works against the audience just as much as it does against the contestant. Heck, 6% of the audience probably can't even read the question on the monitors from wherever they're sitting.

The sight lines thing yes. The time thing, absolutely not. The audience has a year and a day to give their answer. No excuses there.

They used to have lots of time to think, before TDC®. Now, they've got the same 30 seconds to think about it that the contestant has. And some of them may be distracted by watching the contestant, Meredith, hand signals from the warm-up guy, searching around their seats to find which ATA handset is theirs, etc.
