Anne is a game show veteran who won $48,000 on Jeopardy! Anne is more nervous now; it's different than playing against other people.

Anne's husband, Andy, is in the audience with roses for her.

$4,000
According to legend, the ghosts of Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Sir Walter Raleigh all haunt what London landmark?

50/50 leaves B & C

They both sound good to Anne.

PAF: Anne calls Fred, her father-in-law. Fred starts repeating part of the question before she finishes reading it, then repeats the choices.

Fred: And this was Rapper Ice Cube--

Anne: Ten seconds, Fred.

Fred: Sequel to what?

Anne: Are We There Yet? Ten seconds--five seconds!

Fred: Are We There Yet? Um, give me the answers again.

Anne: Something! Something!

Fred: A!

Anne thinks he meant the first choice she gave him. She goes with Are You Ready Yet?, final answer.

Anne drops to $1,000.

Are We Done Yet? is actually credited as a remake of Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.

Somehow, I don't picture Cary Grant and Ice Cube in the same role.....

Plus on this show it's one wrong answer and you're out.

And nice roses they were, too.

I haven't seen either one of the movies, but knew the answer.

I don't get the choices for PAFs lately. Shouldn't you line up 5 different people with varying knowledge bases (or really fast Googlers). At least someone with knowledge of movies could have helped here.

We know that, but not everyone thinks of it, or has available such a large pool of experts in so many areas as we do. I suspect the history of PAF's would reveal a plurality, at least, of family members, closely followed by present or former co-workers.

FWIW my PAF group were all friends but I deliberately selected them for their areas of expertise (and my lack thereof) - sports, literature, art - plus two for general trivia that might stump me. That was in the day before Googling became the norm, and long before Bored PAFs were in vogue.
