Are We Done Yet? is actually credited as a remake of Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.

Somehow, I don't picture Cary Grant and Ice Cube in the same role.....

I haven't seen either one of the movies, but knew the answer.

I don't get the choices for PAFs lately. Shouldn't you line up 5 different people with varying knowledge bases (or really fast Googlers). At least someone with knowledge of movies could have helped here.

We know that, but not everyone thinks of it, or has available such a large pool of experts in so many areas as we do. I suspect the history of PAF's would reveal a plurality, at least, of family members, closely followed by present or former co-workers.

FWIW my PAF group were all friends but I deliberately selected them for their areas of expertise (and my lack thereof) - sports, literature, art - plus two for general trivia that might stump me. That was in the day before Googling became the norm, and long before Bored PAFs were in vogue.
