Tonight I became PeaBix

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Thu Nov 29, 2007 10:00 pm

The phone company has sneakily added a "Long Distance Network Access Fee" This is for people who don't USE long distance - just for having the access, they now charge 2.95 per month.

If you have a plan, or a different carrier, there is no charge.

I don't USE long distance. People I want to talk to are local.

I resent paying for something I MIGHT use.

I researched the plans, and there is a plan for just LD across Canada that costs.....$0.00 per month, .07 per minute.

Okay, I don't use any minutes, so 0.00, and the cost of this plan is $0.00. Seems a good price.

So I fired off a strongly worded email, that as I now was on a Plan, I expected them to remove the extortion charge for LD Network Access.

I feel muchly lighter

I had that same problem back when I needed a separate line for the old "dial up connection" for internet access. The phone company wanted to charge me for NOT having long distance! Huh??

I'm glad you found an alternative.

I am blind to how this makes you a combo of me and Bix - and..... good for you! Don't let the idiots take advantage of you.

Okay, now go back and read the second part of this.

She felt empowered to fight back. And that reminded her of both you and Bix.

This is a compliment sweetie!
