Pigskin Pool Week 6

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Thu Oct 11, 2007 1:53 am

It's not too early to start picking....

The default picks have been getting clobbered all year long, going against the odds... and my Mom's brilliant picks certainly did not help last week (2-12!!!). I guess that's the purpose behind default picks in the first place is to punish those who forget to pick, but anyway....

This week's default picks will be sponsored by Referee Phil Luckett. I will flip a coin for each matchup. Heads for the home team, tails for the visiting team....

If I was the sponsor, I would pick the teams with the most marketability.

So Sorry I let you guys down this year. We switched from cable to satellite, which caused a change in ISPs, which has caused all kinds of disruption in our routines. When I FINALLY got the new service (there was about a three week lag between our TV being hooked up and our internet becoming active) I found I couldn't get back to the Pigskin Pool and log in successfully. I'll give it another shot this week,, and see if I can do it. But I want you to know I tried.

The coin flips for the default picks have been made. I brought in Jerome Bettis to call all the flips, but I couldn't understand what the hell he was saying, so I conferred with Commissioner Goodell and picked each game accordingly. I think my fellow ref Mr. Leavy will approve of the selection process....

And I'm warning everyone right now... I'm gonna start throwing flags early and often for annoying emoticons! *TWEET!*

Default picks have been made for TiV. You have until noon EDT to enter your own picks.

Everyone else's picks are in.

Those were some scary picks the coin made, fortunately I remembered to make my picks with about an hour to spare.

I certainly am glad I'm doing OK in this pool. Kind of makes up for the College Pick 'Em Pool. Thanks to all those freaking upsets, I think I've won my 10-point game over there once in the last month. Ugh.

Woo Hooo!

Back in first!

I would have been back in the top 300 overall if New Orleans hadn't suddenly remembered they could play football.

Tonight should be interesting. I'm the only person in our pool that picked Atlanta. Why did I pick Atlanta? No idea. Probably operator error.

Congrats to Eyegor, best score of the week in our pool. 10-2 is pretty darn good.

I'm prouder of the 7-3 in the college pool. How tough is it this year?

The consensus picks this week were 6-4. Last 3 weeks?
4-6
4-6
4-6

down from 6-4 in weeks 2 &3

That's .500, excluding week 1's 8-2
