Anyone in the Harrisburg/Lebanon PA area?

#1 Post by gsabc » Thu Oct 11, 2007 8:10 am

Got an audit down there next week, and will be free (well, reasonably priced) Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Prolly not a late night on Wed., though, since I need to arise around 3:30 AM Thursday for my flight to NYC and fame and fortune. Anyone in the area who'd like to meet up?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I played golf up in Harrisburg (literally in the shadows of Three Mile Island) a few years ago with Ren, BDM and Booch. Ren and I, though, are about a hundred miles due south in MD (and, in fact, I'll be in SoCal on business next week anyway) and BDM is in Pittsburgh. I think Booch is in the Harrisburg area, but I haven't seen him posting in ages and I don't even know if he has found this bored yet.

Nope, my family left there about 1750; it was too crowded.

MsCheesecake is originally from Lebanon. I'm sure she would be happy to answer any questions about the area you may have.

How about if we meet one of those nights at that bar there in that place sort of near the airport? You buy the drinks.

Did anybody else notice? To have the words "merry man" between my name and my avatar would seem to imply that I'm a person with gender issues and a dual wardrobe.

Please!

No, we've already established that Annie doesn't lie about her age.

But her mom took a fancy to the idea of "rebranding" her image on this new Bored... 8)

I dropped in to verify that Annie does not lie.

Mr. Bob, that's not a costume, that's a birthday suit -- and I only wear it one day a year. When I put it on, I become the pumpkin. Think of it not as a costume, but as "method" wardrobe.

Miss Annie, last week roomie said he wanted to spray paint Mr. Dub black, and rent him out for Halloween. I suggested that would not go over well because his fur is medium-length, and the really excellent black cats have short hair. So then roomie said we could just rent him out as a pumpkin.

He is a red-haired kitty, is why this is funny. I will post a picture of him when we have that capability, for those who have not marveled at his red-headed largeness. For now I will make him my avatar.

Did you know the little town of Bethlehem here even has a star? haha!

If you're driving through again this Christmas, stop in and check out the German style Christmas market. This year will be my first here, but everyone says it is really wonderful. http://www.christkindlmarkt.org
