No idea; checking a map later, it's 4-2-3-1

That one is really hard! I would have been . . . at sea on it. And then I would have been sure to have an atlas by my side when I called Fred the following night . . .

Um.... Shouldn't it be 2-3-1-4? New Guinea is almost due south of Japan, and the Philippines are west of them, but also west of Japan (and should be last). It's a wicked question, either way, because of the placement of New Guinea.

Ha! I totally remember this question from TOPG circa 2001. I was 11 and I didn't know where Tuskegee was, so I guessed since there was a large gap between Kansas and Florida.

elwing attempted the phone game and I served as her recorder. Her questions were:

Q1. Put these words in order to form the name of a well-known children's book:
1 - Green
2 - Ham
3 - Eggs
4 - And
[Reveal] Spoiler:
1342

Q2. Put these devices in order by the date of their introduction, starting with the earliest:
1 - Sega Genesis
2 - Sony Walkman
3 - Brownie camera
4 - iPod
[Reveal] Spoiler:
3214

Unfortunately elwing, not being of the technological bent, only knew which was first and which was last. She got the middle two backward and heard Sad Fred. But she'll be trying again tomorrow night.

Well ... since nobody got my questions (including me!)

Morngin folks...hope all is well.

1. Place these television cities in order, beginning in the east.

1. Dallas
2. Boston Legal
3. Miami Vice
4. Vegas

(took a split second before remembering that Boston is way east of Miami, so 2-3-1-4)

2. Place the day these celebrations take place, starting with Saturday.

1. Labor Day
2. Shrove Thursday
3. Something that happens on Tuesday
4. Easter

(4-1-3-2)

3. Place these presidents in the order they served starting with the earliest

1. Lincoln
2. Washington
3. George HW Bush
4. Jackson

(2-4-1-3, dang getting excited...)

THEN, I re-learned a painful lesson from the last millennium...keep the #@$@#$@ cat out of the room when playing the game!

4. Place these invention in the order they were invented, starting with the earliest:

1. cash register
2. electron microscope
3. correction fluid
4. windshield wiper (at least that's what I think. At this point, the cat jumped up on the desk, knocking everything sideways...I rushed in a 1-4-3-2 which got me bounced.

Tonight, the cat will be outside and I will be in game mode. Dang, after all those years, you'd think I wouldn't be so nervous!

It's Shrove Tuesday, which is the same as Mardi Gras (the day before Ash Wednesday, so unless #3 was something that happens on Thursday (Maundy Thursday, perhaps?) this would be an impossible question.

Speedy Fred timed me out on Q3 last night. Paraphrasing:

Q1: Put these time segments in order from longest to shortest:
1) Hour
2) Week
3) Second
4) Month

Thanks for the softball, Fred. 4213

Q2: Put these products in order as they are used on the body, going from head to foot:
1) Hall's
2) Dr. Scholl's
3) Alka Seltzer
4) Head and Shoulders

Keep 'em coming. I like these. 4132

Q3: Put these novels in order by date of publication, beginning with the earliest:
1) Brave New World
2) Soul on Ice
3) The Poisonwood Bible
4) Something I don't recall and can't decipher in my scribbles

Willed my creaky fingers to move faster, but hesitated too long and timed out.

I'd guess it was something old, so the answer would be 4123 (they seem to avoid 1234 answers).

Huh? Coldest to warmest, and summer is third?

Adding my Q1: Arrange these words to form the name of a western United States city.
1. City
2. Utah
3. Salt
4. Lake

Tried the Feinberg method, but forgot to write down the numbers. Proceeded to screw up which word was #1 and which was #2. Back to writing them down as they're given.

I think he meant in chronological order, starting with the coldest.

Nothing like trying to decipher half a dozen instructions while Fred is speed reading the question, eh?

2,4,1,3

Put these words together that make up the acronym, BIOS:

1. something "O"

If you are just playing for fun or practice, I think it is one thing. To play for someone else, get the 5 right and then enter the pool while using someone elses identifying info is just wrong.
