Nice one, Cal!

Beast had one of his logged in Moscow. I'm not sure if his distance beat yours or not.

I haven't updated my distance list in a while, but I believe this one is my record....

If the database were available this morning, I could post my hit last February from Melbourne, Australia that tops my NZ hit.... but until it lets me search for it, I can't post the link.....

Does anyone ever find their George's in Antarctica? What about cruise ships?

Yes, but I have not been so fortunate yet. It is the only one left for me to collect in my Continental Bingo.....

Do a lot of people get hits at McMurdo or wherever? And how does one report one found on a cruise ship?

I don't know, but I imagine the only places they could log them in for down there are US bases.....

And I do not know the answer to your cruise ship question.... my guess is you would have to wait for it to dock to log it in.....

There are only three places you can log a bill in for in Antartica....

McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and Amundsen-Scott South.....

Thanks. I forgot that there is a "store" at the south pole station.

No, but you closed the gap some.

Your hit rate puts mine to shame. You'd think more people would participate in WG in this college town!

When I got my $32K check from BAM I wanted to cash it and get 32,000 one-dollar bills, just so I could be "rolling in the dough". Imagine doing that and entering them all into WG!

I think the hit rate on 1s is higher than that on larger denominations. Given your total value entered, it looks like you have entered quite a few larger bills. This will make your hit rate lower.

Of course, my hit rate is even lower than yours, so what do I know?

LB once told me the CT has a lot of participants in the game. So that probably helps me.

Yeah, I'm entering all the bills that pass through my wallet, not just the ones, like christie is doing. My hit rate varies from 6.6% on ones to 3.2% on tens, so even my ones are doing much more poorly than hers. (Actually, I've got a 100% hit rate one the only $2 bill I've entered. )

Another factor is probably how we brand our bills. I only stamp the front, using the round WG stamp around the FRB seal. I don't know what christie does with hers.

Could be. Do you get a state ranking in your report?

My state ranking of 94.8% vs. my overall ranking of 84.4% seems to indicate that New Yorkers just aren't into this game. :|

I stamp the front with the one that circles the numbers that are important and says 'Log on it's fun & free' and then a small straight one on the back that just says track this bill at WheresGeorge.com.

And a small 11:11 somewhere on the bill. All in red.

I don't see to be able to see the state ranking. LB didn't know why.
