$16K: No clue. Phone a friend.

$25K: Leaning toward oil/gas. Try the audience. Use the 50:50 as well if no answer gets more than 50%. What they say determines whether I go home with $1K, $16K, or $25K.

Let me say at the outset that it was a rough day for contestants.

Interesting that the College of William and Mary comes up as an answer in the first tier in two different stacks.

I don't know, either, but I have lifelines available so it's time to use them. It would have to be PAF because I don't trust the audience to know this and 50/50 won't help me. Turns out that "Slim" is not his last name - it's "Haku" and his father was a Lebanese Maronite Christian who emigrated to Mexico.

O.K. That last questions shows why, regardless of what you think about me, it can be very educational to read my posts.

I previously posted last year about Slim, although my understanding was that he only had passed Buffett as #2, and would soon pass Gates. He is a huge Mexican telecommunications tycoon.

The key difference between Slim and his American "competition" is that he does not beleive in charity. My sense is that his philosophy is "I got mine. You go get your own."
