Thanks for the congratulations, LB.
ES had nothing to do with it, your team's name being the Mangy Rodents and all.

My team's name is not the Mangy Rodents, and having ES in the league for the first time was your good luck charm.....
You can't deny the remarkable turnaround. Do I need to post those past records again.....

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

I think that having good pitching, as I do most years, and OK hitting (thanks, Uggla!) was probably my good luck charm this year. I give Otto the credit, plus a couple of adequate pickups mid-year when my players got injured. Molina was a blow -- ouch!littlebeast13 wrote:SportsFan68 wrote:Thanks for the congratulations, LB.

Good pitching, OK.... er, adequate..... er, mediocre hitting, and some terrific midseason pickups were my formula for success as well (Which somehow worked despite being placed in the toughest division in organized sports history). Unfortunately, nobody told my guys the season is 26 weeks long. They couldn't wait to bail out on me that final week......

I scored about half as many points this week as I did last!
You caught me on the right week. Happy to help out . . .

Well as long as there is no 'correction' like what happened my first week. I would be 3-1 if it wasn't for that.

Re: Congrats To The Randomax Rocks!!!
The Gulls win the inaugural Homer T. Bailey Award. Since the Joe Mays Trophy has gotten so much attention and it is now something to strive for, the Gulls set their sight this year on being sub-sub mediocre. We finished second to second to last, just missing out on the notariety of being the JMT winner, and not being the total last place finisher.
We need to remind everyone that the Rocks are not the first JMT recipient to go on to win the league championship, but may be the first to do it in consecutive years. The Gulls were the first team to claim both on their resume, but with a year or two in between.
Congrats to the Rocks. (the Gulls would have won last year if we weren't cheated out of Derek Jeter and a draft choice!

So I guess we need to move the Gulls down to 14th in the draft order and move 6 thru 14 up one?flockofseagulls104 wrote:The Gulls win the inaugural Homer T. Bailey Award.
