Next time I hear somebody gripe about "kids today", I'm handing them a copy of this article.

BTW - I followed the links through to his mom's site. You need to read the rest of the story, and send prayers for Eli's family.

Darn it. This is the secoond time today I've broken into tears. This morning, I read every word of an entire website linked by Bix's sister to the story of a wonderful 5-year-old.

I gotta go get some waterproof mascara.

What terrific kids. What a joy for Eli's family. We had a similar instance in a neighboring town, albeit with a happier ending:
