kids say the darndest things

#1 Post by earendel » Fri Oct 19, 2007 6:41 am

I was down in the cafeteria this morning and heard this question from a four-year old boy:

"Mommy, if I threw pepper up into the sky would it make God sneeze?"

Mom's very reasoned reply:

"You couldn't throw it that high."
"Elen sila lumenn omentielvo...A star shines on the hour of our meeting."

A good effort at heading off any unfortunate experimentation.

But the march of science will not be stopped!

Some day that kid may grow up to be a NASA scientist and put some pepper aboard a space launch.

My kids would see that as a challenge. I'd have a Pepper Launcher being built in my yard when I got home...

My mom would have told me that that is where wind comes from - God sneezing.

Thunder is angels bowling, you know.

I wonder where silver snow would fit into the theme of this thread? I'm sure the kids around here have wondered that....

We always thought thunder was angels rearranging the furniture. Bowling would have more fun I suppose.

I thought thunder was the elves bowling - or whomever it was that gave Rip van Winkle that potent potable.
