Happy birthday to a fabulous person!

My birthday wish is that you might come around more often. Oh, wait. You're supposed to get to make your own wish. Okay.

You were just helping her blow out the candles before they all burn down. :)

IIRC, SouthNyack's sons are high school seniors, this year! Have they made any decisions about next year?

Having ES frozen in ice might be nearly as acceptable to Sprots as having him sent to Hawaii.

But now she can lick him instead of scritching him.

I think she might be part of the NY work force that's out having a few brewskis.

Yep. Very good.

I like the wide eyed look of ES in this one.

Yes indeed!

The Polar Bear Plunges are usually New Year's Day; I saw a couple of reports in the Sunday papers. So southnyack may be thawing right now.

To think I almost went to bed (now that I am older) without checking out the bored!!!! I would have been very sad, even though it is not my birthday anymore in EST. :-)
I love all the wishes and I love the drawing-I have to figure out how to make an avatar!!! Squirrels are always welcome at the Penguin Plunge (scheduled for March 6 so that the Hudson has all winter to get nice and chilly!) All bored members are welcome to attend, and we would really be honored and make sure you get a special mention. We have a strong man who can pull a firetruck with his teeth (amazingly such a cool thing to watch), music, and food. And then the Columbia University Soccer Team does a simultaneous plunge off the tip of Manhattan. So there will be plenty to do if you want to make it down to Nyack Memorial Park!
I did go do the Polar Bear Dip in Coney Island-it was almost as crowded as the 4th of July. I went in wearing one of my bridesmaids dresses, just to add whimsy. If I could get my husband to go in, I would make him wear a tux but he says one of us has to be sane.
I guess he means that that one isn't me!
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart-we had a death in the family today and your words and picture (thanks lb) really cheered me up!!!

It's still your birthday on Bored Time, so happy birthday! --Bob
