Dancing With the Stars
Is anyone in the world watching? I never see any references to it here, and I would see the latest boot-off mentioned in the Entertainment News section on CNN, but this time, nada. And when I did see a mention of the show once, I had to read the article to find out which one was the professional and which one was the "celebrity".
Shark-jumping so soon, or have I not been paying close enough attention?
And is Wayne Newton still around, or has Cheryl run out of miracles?
And what about Naomi??????
Enquiring minds need to know!

I sort-of watch, mainly because hubby is watching football and I'm sewing. Although hubby tunes in occasionally to see the girls in skimpy costumes.
Wayne (and Cheryl) were voted off last week, but Wayne came back to sing (?) last night. This week Floyd Mayweather is gone.
They sure need to find some better stars.... definitely don't give a flying fig who wins this one.

I am watching and enjoying very much.
The performances, for the most part, have been outstanding, and it will be a tough call.
Next week is being called Hot Dance week. "fast dances, little costumes"
James is intrigued.
Spoiler
Wayne went last week. Floyd went last night. First set of perfect 10's was awarded to the "Cheetah Girl" Sabrina. Still standing are Jane, Marie, Mel, Jenny and Sabrina (can't remember her name, sheesh!) Mark Cameron (yummy) and Helio.

Well, I guess some people are. It wasn't clear if you were taking a survey or asking us to guess at the answer to that poll, "Power of 10" style.

Sadly, creating a poll is not one of the options on this Bored yet.minimetoo26 wrote:Geez, Marley--I had the option to add a poll! If I had wanted a freakin' poll, I would have posted a freakin' poll!
All the wise guys with the answers, only not the answers I was looking for.....
But you asked the question--don't blame us if the answer we give you isn't the one you want!

You can create a poll, but it has to be at the start of a thread. You can't create a poll in a thread after the thread has been started.
Speaking of, I think it's time for toffee & chreads this morngin.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!
That'll be $10, please.

It's a poll, but it's not a poll that answers the question that mini asked.MarleysGh0st wrote:minimetoo26 wrote:Hey, Marley!

Errr, ummmm, okay.
Hey, I'm polling at 20%!
As for me, no one in my household is watching DWTS. elwing expressed no interest in it even though she enjoys SYTYCD. It's just as well - my DVR is already recording shows at a rate faster than I can watch them.

A guilty pleasure for me as I have been watching from the very beginning. Always wanted to be able to dance but alas I was cursed with 2 right feet.
Somebody else must be watching as it is one of the higher rated shows of the season.
And I felt like the cast was pretty strong this year. Wayne Newton was a poor choice but he at least tried. The kid (male model) who got booted early was pretty good but had no fan base and as a result lost.
And the female dancers are generally rather pleasant to watch, especially on the upcoming "Latin" night!
No big favorite this year for me so far although I like the pairing of Helio and Julianne.

I Tivo as well, mostly so I can do my own instant replays (like during the "lift" controversy), and to get through the commercials. I rarely watch anything live anymore. I will wait 20 minutes into a show even if I am at home and then watch the replay on Tivo so I don't have to bother with commercials. Great for football games which are dreadfully dull most of the time and so that I can do my own replays when I want to.peacock2121 wrote:I tape it - just the performance shows, not the results shows. Mark Cuban has heart, but no dancing talent. Give the guy the boot already.
And Cuban isn't great but the heart ought to count for something. And the fans seem to be carrying him to get him higher than Mel! Maybe he has picked up the endorsement of the vote for the worst crowd...
