Why would any of these choices make more sense to Debbie, if she was confusing Knobby with Dobby? Disapparation isn't quite like turning an Etch A Sketch upside down and shaking it. :P

I guess our cowboy education has been declining with the decline of the western movie genre. So everybody grab a rope and practice! 8)

I guess Debbie must have missed all those "Play To Pay For Your Wedding" WWTBAM episodes, sponsored by "The Knot."

Maybe she can get The Knot to sponsor her singles dining club.

A. Honda

C. Dodge

[Reveal] Spoiler:

I bet she tried to figure this out logically: Honda and Mazda are both Japanese names, and Audi is Swedish (I think), with Dodge being the only 'American' name in the bunch; logically, wouldn't a cowboy knot be 'American'? And if she was of a certain age, she might remember the Dodge commercials from the late '60's, which had a cowboy theme (they said about Dodge dealers, 'You can tell they're all good guys, they all wear white hats').
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

That was a very nasty question. They expected people to go with Dodge. Honda is also a Spanish word.

But it so happens that "honda" is also a word in Spanish, translating to "sling".

Absentee landlord or is Greentown close enough for her to commute?

That's Dobby! And the reason the answer makes sense is that it's the only one with knobs.

I had a strong feeling that after she "jumped the shark" question (no pun intended  ), that she would go with her gut, and try to answer the knot question. I would have gone with Dodge as well.

Actually Latin, inspired by a the name of its German founder:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi#Birth ... d_its_name
August Horch was barred from using his own family name in his new car business, so he called a meeting with his best business friends, Paul and Franz Fikentscher from Zwickau. At the apartment of Franz Fikentscher, they discussed how to come up with a new name for the company. During this meeting, Franz's son was quietly studying Latin in a corner of the room. Several times he looked like he was on the verge of saying something but would just swallow his words and continue working, until he finally blurted out, "Father – audiatur et altera pars... wouldn't it be a good idea to call it audi instead of horch?"[8] "Horch!" in German means "Hark!" or "hear", which is "Audi" in Latin. The idea was enthusiastically accepted by everyone attending the meeting.[9] The first Audi car, the Type B, 10/28PS was delivered early in 1910.[10]
