Some will call this a WWOQ, but I'd just like to brag that I knew it.

That is all.

There was a puff piece on the news that mentioned this town during the 2008 election, but I don't blame anyone for missing that. OTOH, did any of those other names have a Japanese sound to them? Kucinich?

At age 40 she went back to school and became a cardiopulmonary therapist, eventually becoming a department head at a hospital on Long Island.

Here we go again...

In fairness this was one of the top questions in the unrandomized stack.

No guess for me, I see them all the time (members of the 82nd Airborne are in the building fairly often).

Nine horizontal rows of stars, right?

OK, he's off to a much better start.

I'm surprised that frogman hasn't had some comment about "traditionally". Wikipedia's article about the Maroon beret lists its usage by many military units around the world, with the British 1st Airborne Division starting the tradition in 1942.

It's usage in the U.S. Army is a bit more complicated, with a curious beginning:
In 1943 General Frederick Browning, commander of the British First Airborne Corps, granted a battalion of the US Army's 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment honorary membership in the British Parachute Regiment and authorized them to wear British-style maroon berets.
Honorary membership in a British regiment?

Don't the berets fly off during their jumps? :P
