I'm guessing that Paul's brother Joe didn't get past the FF. Any idea when he was on the show? Also I didn't realize that Paul was a BB.

I'd have used JTQ on this one. I know it's not A or B but can't decide between C and D.

No idea - and even after seeing the answer I don't get the connection. So I'd ATA also.

I was 19 and the legal age in Maine was already 20, so it didn't affect me much but I do remember it. When I moved to Tennessee later that year, I was able to drink legally because those that were 18+ at the time the law went into effect were grandfathered in. Since I've never been a big drinker, I can remember all this.

And I was confused because I remember going with my then-girlfriend/now-wife to visit friends, and I remember buying the beer because I was the only one over what I recall was the then NY-drinking age of 19.

That was in 1988- were states given a long time to comply with this?

Or maybe this trip took place later in 1988 than I thought, and I was already 21.

Wow- that's bad!!!!!

This question is not correct. There is no federal law that requires states to enforce a minimum age for purchasing alcohol. What really happened is that the states were told that if they did not enforce the 21 y/o minimum age, they would receive only 90% of their share of federal highway funding. Most states quickly caved in under the financial pressure. As I recall, Louisiana was the last holdout for age 18 drinking, but eventually they changed their law to preserve their full federal highway funding.

Listen to the cruelty of this! --

In Illinois, the drinking age (at least for beer and wine; can't remember) when I was a teenager in the late 70's, had been 19. I had already been partying and going to the bars for OVER A YEAR at school in Carbondale- a college town where the bars, drinking, and dancing to live bands was THE thing to do. Shortly after I turned 20, the drinking age was abruptly moved up to 21. No grandfathers anywhere in sight... just booted out until the next birthday rolled along! Now how does that make ANY sense at all?!?! It didn't to me at the time, that's for damn sure. It still pisses me off!

I wasn't thinking it was Poe, because I associate him more with Baltimore, Maryland. In retrospect, he's probably closer to being in the right area than anyone else.
Question #4 (Have Faith)
What is the term for the Christian belief that the bread and wine at Communion turn into the blood and body of Christ?
A - transposition
B - transcendentalism
C - transubstantiation
D - transliteration
This was supposedly the hardest question he had in Round One, but I guess the wrong answers weren't good enough to trick me, because even though I had no idea initially, none of the other answers made sense to me.

This one was easy for me. Whenever I think think of the consumption of mind-altering substances, Snoop Dogg is the first one I think of.
