Spoiler
Asbury Park, New Jersey. I've been there.

I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Spoiler
Have no idea.

The house in the background looks shore-y, so I'll guess Wildwood, NJ.

I'm gonna have to wait for Wintergreen's post to get this one. :D

But I'll provide my usual, and incorrect analyisis. Though my analysis yesterday was pretty good. I just picked heads when I should have gone tails.
Spoiler
Where ever it is, its flat. The building/house in the background has a very steeply pitched roof, indicating the location receives a lot of snow.
The street/parking lot looks pretty clean, very clean. Not sure what that tells me. Maybe a tourist area?

It 'feels' like a coastal location as well. Maybe somewhere around New Jersey. Do they get snow in Atlantic City?

Oh well, can't be any more wrong than I have been.

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Hey, my analysis was pretty good, even if I do say so myself. Missed it by only 77 miles.

I missed it by a bit more than that, but it looks like we came to a similar analysis of the photo that the place looked
Spoiler

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Will there be some sort of recognition for the contestant that misses by the most number of miles during the game?

<sigh> It's like I'm trapped in another LS game. The Stone Pony must be famous in pop music circles for something or other, right?

My hunch is that it's where Bruce Springsteen got his start, in Asbury Park, NJ.

Shoot, if I looked at the larger picture, I might have recognized it. I don't know if I would have said Asbury Park, but I grew up about 30 miles from there. I'm a Jersey boy, but I never was a big Springsteen fanatic. But I come from the same background and generation as he did.

Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J!

In high school I was friends with a girl named Sue Springsteen, back in the early-to-mid 70's -- not long before her cousin Bruce and his band began to get some major media attention...

Well I don't see a way for anyone to know of a random club somewhere w/o being there so I'll guess that there's other clues. I see two potential ones: 1) The B Street Band would seem to maybe be a Springsteen reference thus indicating New Jersey and 2) John Brown's Body which would sorta indicate Harpers Ferry 'cuz that'd probably be the only place where people would get the reference. Since we just had a Northeast city, I'd guess you wouldn't put two in a row so essentially my quasi-reasoned WAG is Harpers Ferry, VA
