Where does a Roman Catholic priest wear a zucchetto?
a. Around his waist
b. On his sleeve
c. Atop his head
d. Across his shoulders

No idea. ATA and hope for Roman Catholics.

If you were playing chess in France, which of these pieces would you have eight of at the start of the game?
a. Roi
b. Cavalier
c. Pion
d. Dame

That dint seem difficult.

What much-married comedian had a first wife named Jody, a second wife named Joanne and a third wife named Joanna?
a. Bob Hope
b. Groucho Marx
c. Milton Berle
d. Johnny Carson

I don't remember Jody, but I remember about a million years ago Joanne Carson of "Joanne Carson's VIPs" saying something like she wasn't bitter about Johhny's new wife because she had her hair and even her name.

Which of these London thoroughfares has become synonymous with the fine tailor shops located on it?
a. Savile Row
b. Fleet Street
c. Charing Cross Road
d. Whitehall

I musta read this in a trashy novel in my misspent youth.

According to the National Retail Federation, what was the most popular Halloween costume for kids in 2010?
a. Ghost
b. Princess
c. Cowboy
d. Pirate

It's either princess or pirate. I JTQ as soon as I figure that out.

What member of the rock band Led Zeppelin shares his name with a famous naval hero of the Revolutionary War?
a. Jimmy Page
b. John Paul Jones
c. Robert Plant
d. John Bonham

I really did know about John Paul Jones from history, and here is my mnemonic:

When John Paul Jones was a little boy he pointed to the sea
Said when I get to be a man a fightin' man I'll be
I'll leave my mark on the ocean and my name in history
When John Paul was a member of the British Admiralty
He killed a sailor on his ship which was a crime you see
He changed his name to JP Jones and came to Amerik-e

He fought in the rain and he fought in the sun and he fought in the moonlight too
He fought with his knife and he fought with his gun
And he fought till his blood ran through
Well John Paul Jones was a fightin' man a fightin' man was he
He sailed to the east and he sailed to the west and he helped set America free

When JohnPaul was a Captain in the US Naval Band
A fightin' for the glory and the freedom of our land
He made those British captains wish that they were on dry land
He sent their mighty vessels to the bottom of the sea
He took their bags of treasure and he sank their chests of Tea

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/john-paul-jo ... orton.html ]

He gave his blood for all free men and his life for liberty

He fought in the rain and he fought in the sun and he fought in the moonlight too
He fought with his knife and he fought with his gun
And he fought till his blood ran through
Well John Paul Jones was a fightin' man a fightin' man was he
He sailed to the east and he sailed to the west and he helped set America free

A shade of pale grayish-blue, Alice blue is named after the daughter of what US president?
a. Andrew Jackson
b. Ulysses S. Grant
c. Theodore Roosevelt
d. Woodrow Wilson

Second JTQ.

Question 10 (5 – Colorful Kitchen)
A home decorating fad for kitchen appliances colored "harvest gold" and "avocado green" swept the country in what decade?
a. 1930s
b. 1950s
c. 1970s
d. 1990s

If the 1960s had been up there, I was out the door. My aunt had avocado green appliances in 1964, from the refrigerator to the washing machine.

I had pretty much the same thought about my prospective exit, although my family was susceptible to the harvest gold.

And that apparently fulfills part of the show's end of the contract. Now just waiting for Project Runway to be a right answer.

I hate questions like these. Haven't got a clue.

Is it just me, or does it seem like any time a high-level question asks where a weird-sounding place is, it's almost always in the human body? How many times has that been true?

Same here- it would have been a problem if 60's was a choice. I remember a goldish fridge and dishwasher in our kitchen when I was pretty young.

Tricia was really an excellent contestant, from gameplay to personality. Refreshing!

That's right! I had an avocado dishwasher for a while! I bought it for $50 out of somebody's garage. I gave it away when I got my new one with the nifty chopping block top. I dunno how long it worked after that.

Finally a contestant makes it to Round 2. I know it's not on the moon or on the floor of the ocean. "Palatine" is a hill in Rome, which doesn't help. Since I have the lifeline available, I'll JTQ.

Isn't that Palatine, not Palantine?
