I know this from somewhere, but where? Do I have the nerve to pull the trigger? It sure sounds like something Yeats would write, or maybe I saw it in a review of the movie.

Nope, can't pull the trigger on this one. JTQ.

She described herself as a "middle-aged broad" (mentioned several times during the show). And what was up with Mere and the glasses?

I'd ATA also. Mere mentioned that this song broke the record held by Leann Rimes.

I don't know. Maybe she's been wearing contact lenses but they were irritating her eyes? Maybe she's taken a small step of rebellion against TPTB's preconceptions about what "telegenic" should be. If so, more power to her!

And that's why we don't have a drug problem in this country.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I go with the fashion statement on the glasses. Spectacles rock!
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

She was annoying.

I think they only picked her as a Bored Shout-Out to SC and Kay.
