#101. "Snow Buddies"
Debuted: 11/30/09
Fifth and final hijacking of one of Sprots' Matias avatars. This idea was given to me by Fanny, and has all three of the squirrel characters playing with Matias in it.
Characters: ES, MBRS, Angel, Matias (real-life)

#102. "Birthday Jamón"
Debuted: 12/3/09
It had come up in chat over Thanksgiving that Kiki's husband, the ORB, had bought a $1300 ham, imported from the Iberian Peninsula (But that $1300 included the hoof!), and the jamóon became a running joke with Kiki for a while, so I included it in her birthday avatar in place of a cake.

#103. "Happy Birthday Hottie!"
Debuted: 12/6/09
Birthday avatar for Hottie, the sweet one of ES's Angels.

#104. "Snow Angel"
Debuted: 12/9/09
Ranked 10th in the 2009 ES Avatar Countdown
This was Angel's solo debut in an avatar, and a foreshadowing of what was to come, as Angel's solo avatars aren't very common, but are unfailingly cute. This avatar was an expanding of the theme used in the previous Matias avatar of Angel making a snow angel, and was inspired by a thread about Kazoo grumbling about the weather and the first snow of the year here.

#105. "Deck the Halls"
Debuted: 12/15/09
Having had the Angel avatar up for almost a week, and without any nspiration, I went to the Bored for suggestions for a new avatar. One of the first comments was Kiki pointing out that I probably didn't have any Christmas decorations (She was correct), so I drew an avatar of the squirrels decorating a tree... which came close to christie's later suggestion of having Ody and Spilly decorate a tree.

#106. "Scritch In!"
Debuted: 12/16/09
The last avatar of 2009 before the year end countdown was inspired by a picture Bob Juch posted of a public trash can that had a sign warning people to be careful opening the lid since there may be a squirrel inside. This avatar was an obvious inspiration. I also incorporated the "hiya wave" from the previous "Plasma Partner" avatar into this one, though it seemed to turn out better in the original when it was merely an afterthought inclusion.

#107. "Resolving for Scritches"
Debuted: 1/1/10
My New Years avatar for 2010, which is apropos given than 2010 was the year that the Sprots/ES avatars were most prominent.

#108. "The Squorrel"
Debuted: 1/2/10
Since at least last summer (See the "Howling Squirrel" avatar) I had been trying to get Beebs back into painting, and in particular to do an impressionistic squirrel (Dubbed "squorrel" due to a chat typo). She finally put paint to canvas with the beginning of 2010, and I was extremely pleased and honored to be given the result. "The Squorrel" still hangs proudly on the wall of my computer room. As for the avatar itself, the looks of artistic concentration and impressed observer on Beebs and ES respectively make this one truly great, and worthy of an honorable mention in the 2010 countdown.

#109. "Vacancy At SHM"
Debuted: 1/7/10
Kiki had an unwelcome visitor at her home over the New Year, a friend of a relative of her husband's. Kiki gave his name as John Mark, but I managed to convert it into Mark John Boy, and even gave him his own MM. The avatar is a reference to the fact that Stately Harris Manor is very much like an inn, and poor Kiki has to put up with so many strange guests.

#110. "Crosswords"
Debuted: 1/13/10
I posted about my first ever successful completion of a New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle, and when Sprots posted her congrats to me, I celebrated with this wonderful little avatar of ES helping Sprots do a puzzle. I actually had to change this avatar when it was noted by Mark Dixon the next day that I originally had Sprots asking for a seven letter word. The word, of course, is squirrel.

#111. "Dizzy Miss Lizzie"
Debuted: 1/15/10
Vandal changed his avatar to some cover art a person on his literary forum made for one of his novels he was writing, "Dizzy Miss Lizzie". When Marley mentioned that ES should do vandal's cover art, I said vandal shouldn't waste his time with a hack like me, while at the same time submitting this avatar with MBRS and Angel in the places of the two girls in the cover art. This was MBRS and Angel's first appearance together as the stars of one of my drawings, and they would work on their chemistry together as the year progressed.

#112. "Earrings"
Debuted: 1/21/10
SC was describing in chat how she was trying on a number of different earrings to find the perfect pair to go with her dress for her son's wedding. While this was going on, I opened up Paint and began to draw a quickie large sized picture of SC checking out some blue-green earrings she mentioned. I posted the picture in chat while I was done, and loved it so much that I shrunk it down and made an avatar out of it the next morning. It is the first avatar of mine to ever be made while in chat.

#113. "You Look Ridiculous"
Debuted: 1/27/10
Lame drawn up version of the Christmas avatar I used for Evil Squirrel where he had the mistletoe hanging over his head. Sprots kept saying he should take it down because he looked ridiculous.

#114. "THUNDERICE!!!!"
Debuted: 1/28/10
Inspired by the nasty ice storm sweeping across Oklahoma, as reported by SC. I warned ES that besides going outside to check on her car, she should worry about other things that may freeze solid in the storm.

#115. "Let Me In!!!"
Debuted: 2/1/10
Another Sprots avatar hijack, although this one had no trace of Matias to be found. It was a picture of a bunch of snow piled up at the back door of Matias' house. I added ES trying to get in. I love the way I have ES pressed up against the glass door in this one.

#116. "Catfight!"
Debuted: 2/5/10
Ranked 19th in the 2010 ES Avatar Countdown
Ellen started a thread complaining about the "pathetic contestants" who had been appearing on WWTBAM lately, which of course got the Bored all riled up. My two favorite avatar mavens, Hooly and Odyssey, got into a nice little catfight in the middle of this thread, and I immortalized it in this avatar. I resurrected this avatar later in the month when the two got to warring again.

#117. "Win, Draw, or Lose"
Debuted: 2/11/10
Heels announced that WWTBAM had gotten so hard for him to watch, that he was no longer going to bother viewing it. I chimed in that he should start watching Win Lose or Draw and added this avatar. It, of course, plays off the fact that I still have not drawn heels that ES avatar he wants so badly. It is also uly's first ever appearance in one of my avatars.

#118. "Angel on the Slopes"
Debuted: 2/18/10
The Winter Olympics were in Vancouver in February 2010, and Saucy was obviously quite excited about it and posting frequently on the events. I drew this avatar of her favorite character Angel doing a little skiing and added it to a thread about some downhill skiing results (Is there such a thing as uphill skiing?). Another wonderful solo appearance by Angel despite somehow not cracking the Top 20 of my year end countdown.

#119. "Meeting Lizbit"
Debuted: 2/26/10
I went down to SC's Gridiron meetup for the first time in late February, and got to meet SC's dogs in real life for the first time ever. Lizbit was the happiest to see me, and inspired this avatar I drew while in my hotel room after that first meeting. The avatar is a bit clunky due to the fact that I drew it on a laptop and didn't have my mousepad with me, which helps control the cursor doing the outline.

#120. "Squirrel Thong"
Debuted: 3/2/10
I started a thread containing some of the finds I made while doing a little reorganizing of my junk boxes, one of which was a Wal~Mart label I had that had an item description of "Snow Globe Ass" on it. There was fear from tmitsss that this may lead to a thing avatar from uly, and instead it led to this unflattering view of ES.

#121. "Where's Evil?"
Debuted: 3/3/10
Uly posted an article about a North Carolina Representative who introduced a bill to have Ulysses S. Grant replaced on the $50 bill with Ronald Reagan. This devolved into a thread of whose picture should be on money, and led to this avatar of ES appearing on a Colorado dollar.... signed of course by ES himself and Sprotsie Baby.

#122. "James Garner"
Debuted: 3/5/10
Sprots was inspired to put up an avatar of James Garner after an SSS post about NBC remaking his old series The Rockford Files. As was habit back then, I jumped on the chance to manipulate another Sprots avatar by putting ES's face over Garner's, and the result was.... well, I didn't particularly like it. I don't think I even had this one up 12 hours before I went back to the dollar avatar.

#123. "Best Supporting Scritcher"
Debuted: 3/7/10
Ranked 17th in the 2010 ES Avatar Countdown
It was Oscars day, so I created this little tribute showing Sprots accepting the award for "Best Supporting Scritcher", a golden ES statue with the cutest little smile. I thought that other than the statue and the look of uncomfortable terror on Sprots' face, one of the things I liked most about this avatar was the reddish color background, which I had mentioned should have been called "Award Show Red". Saucy offered a differing opinion.

#124. "Bestest Buddies"
Debuted: 3/10/10
A new Matias avatar led to another hijack, and this one was the prefect set-up with a smiling Matias on the couch with a bowl. All I had to do was insert ES sitting next to him pilfering an acorn out of the bowl, and instead of a happy but lonely child, it was now two buddies enjoying a snack on the couch. It is almost criminal that I only gave this one an honorable mention for my year end avatar countdown, but to keep more variety in the countdown, I judged it and the other Matias avatars harsher, and there were others I thought were better.
