"26. "Uno!"

Debuted: 5/20/09

Inspired by Hooly attempting to get me to play Uno on Facebook, which she had just lured me to in chat the night before.

#27. "The Cowardly Namechangers Club"

Debuted: 5/24/09

This was merely an edit of the previous snowmobile avatar, where I changed MBRS to Hooly's colors and added "CNCC" to the snowmobile in place of "Colorado or Bust!" This avatar came about after another round of ghost bashing... working on her accusation that we are all a bunch of "cowardly name changers".

#28. "Beer Pong"

Debuted: 5/25/09

Drawn the morning after Hooly brought up her beer pong prowess in chat.

#29. "Rainbow Donkey"

Debuted: 5/27/09

Ranked 9th in the 2009 ES Avatar Countdown

A typical long, winding, thread (of my own, about picture I took of squirrels in my new backyard) prompted references to Hooligans being like unicorns, and my attempt to draw ES and Hooly riding on a unicorn wound up having comic results. The unicorn was not rendered particularly well, and I was razzed and laughed at over how goofy it looked. The poor unicorn wound up with the monicker "Rainbow Donkey", and became a running joke between me and Hooly, and was reposted numberous times over the coming months.

#30. "Hooly's Secret Recipe"

Debuted: 5/28/09

Hooly liked to, um, joke about making a special poisonous peabut butter for squirrels, which led to this avatar of her making ES a batch of peanut butter cookies with her secret recipe. This was the first avatar I drew on my new computer in my new house.

Characters: ES, Hooly

#31. "Southpaw Fanny"

Debuted: 5/31/09

With the Nuggets out of the playoffs, this avatar was drawn to get Fanny in the mood for Rockies baseball. The Rockies were lifeless the first two months of the season and had just fired manager Clint Hurdle. Soon after this avatar was drawn, the Rockies went on one of the greatest comebacks ever to finish with the wildcard berth in the National League, and helped make Fanny a baseball fan again!

An avatar celebrating my new laptop I bought.

#33. "Get A Room!"

Debuted: 6/7/09

ES's rendition of the Bored's favorite response to the continual posting of me and Hooly. The 1388 on the door came from our favorite numbers (13 for me, 88 for her), and I actually gave serious consideration to using it for my PIN number.

#34. "Truncate the Verbosity!"

Debuted: 6/8/09

After Marley had griped about the massive quote pyramids and began calling for us to "truncate the pyramid", a number of other variations of this phrase came to life... one of which was "truncate the verbosity" by uly, which is portrayed in this avatar.

#35. "The Truncinator"

Debuted: 6/10/09

My Merry Man The Truncinator had a short shelf life since tubadave activated the "Auto-truncating" pyramid function two days after I created him. But he was around long enough to get on Hooly's nerves, and this avatar represented her defeat of him. One of my favorite early avatars in terms of a cool effect I added to it... in this one, Hooly's blowing hair, which I added to give it a sci-fi movie kind of feeling.

#36. "Bon Appetit!"

Debuted: 6/12/09

ghost posted about a food allergy she had that made her throat swell up, but wouldn't say what it was on the Bored so nobody here would know what to poison her with just in case she were "tricked" into eating something from one of us. The post was directed at Hooly, and this cute little avatar of her serving ghost a meal popped into my mind.

#37. "Rafferty Klimt"

Debuted: 6/15/09

Ranked 8th in the 2009 ES Avatar Countdown

An avatar commemorating Rafferbee's appearance on SyndieBAM (which was the first Syndie episode I EVER watched) in which she was forced to walk from a $25,000 question about artist Gustav Klimt. The avatar, which I managed to crank out on my crummy laptop (The same day I drew "Evils Angels" on it, no less), was a take on Klimt's Adele Bloch-Bauer portrait, with RB's giraffe character instead.

#38. "Steamroller!"

Debuted: 6/18/09

While in Kansas City for a baseball trip, I was held hostage at my hotel by a construction crew paving the parking lot. I mentioned they had a steamroller, and it inspired me to draw this avatar of Sprots flattening ES. It would be the first of many appearances for Sprots in my avatars.

#39. "Cookies!"

Debuted: 6/20/09

After hinting and pleading and begging for a month, Hooly finally sent me a batch of her homemade chocolate chip cookies, and this avatar celebrated their arrival, which was one day after the delivery confirmation said they had reached me. One of my favorite things about this avatar was the observation some people made that it looks like MBRS is licking the mailbox, when it is in fact just her arm.

Characters: ES, MBRS

#40. "Five Squirrels"

Debuted: 6/22/09

The Five Guys restaurant chain became a popular topic of conversation on the Bored around this time, and after Hooly tried to convince me I'd like the place, I promised to send my squirrels out to test the food.... meaning I drew this avatar.

Characters: ES, MBRS

#41. "The Squirrel Moon"

Debuted: 6/25/09

Nitrah posted a story about Alan Bean, one of the Apollo astronauts who walked on the moon, painting a series of moonscapes. I decided to provide a moonscape of my own....

#42. "I Heart Rainbow Donkey"

Debuted: 6/27/09

Rainbow Donkey follow up avatar, drawn as a good luck avatar for Hooly's Deal or No Deal audition.

#43. "Skunks on Film"

Debuted: 6/29/09

Other than ES's crazy obsession with Hooly, and her fondness for sunning herself on the beach, I honestly have no idea why I drew this avatar.

Characters: ES, Hooly

Reference thread: None

#44. "Do You Know How Fast You Were Going?"

Debuted: 6/30/09

This avatar was drawn after Hooly mentioned she got a ticket on the way in to work. The quick time this hit the Bored after Hooly's announcement was noticed by Peacock and Kay.

"#45. "Perkitude!!!"

Debuted: 6/30/09

Ranked 12th in the 2009 ES Avatar Countdown

Perkitude was coined by Hooly in the thread about her Deal or No Deal audition three days earlier, and it became a key point of the video audition announcement thread the day before this avatar was drawn. This was drawn just hours before gsn announced the phone game was returning for a prime time WWTBAM series, which helped turn "perkitude" into the buzzword of the summer. This is one of my very favorite avatars of the Hooly era, and the font that was used in this avatar is almost too perfect for the situation.

Characters: Hooly

#46. "Reach Out And Touch Someone"

Debuted: 7/2/09

Since the topic of my trying to get Hooly's number was hot the same day a "When do the phone lines open?" thread was posted shortly after the announcement of the new phone game, I drew this avatar of what ES would like to hear on the other end of the phone.

Characters: ES, Hooly

#47. "3-4-1-2"

Debuted: 7/5/09

A more conventional tribute to the phone game, this one inspired by a shot BDM made at Sarah Palin not being a good phone game player.

Characters: ES. MBRS

Reference thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18978&p=218146#p218146

#48. "Moonwalking"

Debuted: 7/8/09

ES doing his best Michael Jackson impersonation a couple weeks after his surprising death, inspired by a thread in which starfish asked if it was common knowledge that Michael's kids were not biologically his.

Characters: ES

Reference thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19139&p=219933#p219933

#49. "At Your Service"

Debuted: 7/9/09

Hooly was complaining in chat late at night that she was worn out from her exercise and couldn't move off the couch, so I greeted her the next morning with this avatar of ES waiting on her.

Characters: ES, Hooly

Reference thread: None

#50. "Stop Dragging My Heart Around"

Debuted: 7/10/09

Saucy coined the term that Hooly was "dragging me around by the paintbrushes" (See the last 3 months worth of avatars in this anthology), so I put my relationship with Hooly in avatar form. For better or for worse, that was pretty much the truth.
