Password

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Thu Oct 18, 2007 10:11 am

I am serious about auditioning for Password when they start to offer them.

I want to do some prep.

What do yous guys suggest?

I plan on finding the board game version and annoying everyone I know having them play with me.

What other ideas do you have?

My first thought was to peruse a thesarus, but then in reflecting on how the game was played in the old days, it's often not the use of synonyms but rather tonal inflections and such that convey the meaning. I think your idea is a good one.

GSN shows old version of the show, perhaps you can tape it and watch it. :)

You know, with the "private message" capability of this Baored, one could easily play a version of Password here.

You just sayin' or are you inviting and offering?

It would be missing the inflection value added and still good practice.

If we could put together 5 people at one time willing to play, we could make it go, I bet.

I could see how inflection could be replaced by smileys and other icons.

The fine line would be deciding what's an icon with too much information and what's not. Either way, it's be good practice.

I'm interested in auditioning, too.

What a great idea!

My friend Amy is interested as well.

How cool would it be to all schedule on the same day!

Have them blown away by all of the great contestants on one day!

How can you go about getting the schedule and the people to play?

When? Where? Lemme know and I'm there!

I wonder if they still have me on the callback list from the old show. It got cancelled two weeks before I was scheduled to film.

Bummer!

It is being brought back with Regis as the host. No info yet. Hang around here and you will be in the know!

It would be fun to spend the day with you auditioning and seeing NYC!

Let me know when there is a password game scheduled with you all. I like that game.

I like on the old shows the way the announcer would whisper, "The password is_______" It was almost in a golf/hunting like voice. Funny thing is that I know there is an Italian word to describe that voice. I just can't think of it. I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night, or some other inappropriate time, with the right word. lol

Password would be fun to play here!

I think it means "under the breath" or something similar.

I was hoping someone had info on auditions. I read that it will be a mid-season replacement.

I do not know what that means in terms of timing.

Does anyone know?
