Blind Date WWTBAM -- Coming Soon!
Imagine the possibilities. I guess I was on the show a decade too soon.

I don't like "theme" shows, but at least this is an indication that the show plans to be around until next Valentine's Day.TheConfessor wrote:Imagine the possibilities. I guess I was on the show a decade too soon.

Oh look a holiday themed WWTBAM
Do you think anyone out there would like a blind date with a flying monkey?

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Here's predicting at least one very protracted ugly squabble when the not-so-happy couple differ about the answer to a particular question.

Well, since she's blind, she won't be turned off by his monkey face. This could be a match made in Emerald City.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Oh look a holiday themed WWTBAM

Blech on that theme.
How about a tournament of champions, how about the phone game, how about family teams, how about military week?
This is a game show not the Bachelor.

According to Wikipedia there are 440 species of sharks. This show has now jumped all of them.

What will the "Blind Date" episodes be like? Probably not as good as this:

Well, that took an unexpected twist.jarnon wrote:What will the "Blind Date" episodes be like? Probably not as good as this:
For those who haven't watched the clip
The guy in the blind date turns out to be a What Else. And who does he get for his PAF but Merv Griffin! (Yes, that one. The episode must be a few years old, since Merv died in 2007.) There follows a long, long chat with Merv before they get to asking him the question. Then they keep Merv on the line after his 30 seconds ends, to hear what the results are and to say goodbye. Celebrity PAFs get lots of special privileges, I guess.
Heck, Merv, if you always wanted to be on the show, you didn't need to wait for the Australian version. You should have made a big deal of it while Regis had the show in primetime, until some stranger asked to call you!
