Beating the Heat . . .

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 9:10 pm

We've had it with this triple-digit high stuff. We're headed back to God's Country tomorrow where some nice thundershowers and flooding (at Breckenridge, not where we're going) have cooled it off.

Whew!

Found it!

Home at last!

85 degrees F here, and the humidity is 19%!

I think I'll stay here a while.

Do you have room for some house guests? (Squirrels are optional.)

Always! Except mangy rodents aren't optional, they're forbidden.

May I come and bring along Lizbit and BeBe, plus a little friend of theirs? The friend, they assure me, is a puppy. Lizbit says, and I quote, "It's, um, a baby sqoodle."

Sqoodle sounds suspiciously rodent-like. He can stay there. Misses Lizbit and BeBe are welcome anytime, plus their two-footer chauffeur, of course...
