Tonight on ESPN2 - Great TX High School Football

Cy-Fair Bobcats with Sam McGuffie vs. Cy-Falls Eagles

Showcased in the grand Berry Stadium. See my school district's stadium that rivals any college's stadium for amenities and architecture. Yeah, my taxes are high.

My neighborhood has been zoned from one to the other back to one in the last 5 years so we have neighborhood kids going to both schools. In fact there are some families with kids split between the schools. My oldest is in the marching band for Cy-Fair

(see Sam here in one of YouTubes most popular videos shows Sam literally hurdling a 6' 2" linebacker to score a touchdown)

Sam is a hurdler on the track team.

Sam committed to go to Michigan. I think he should be committed for that, but oh well.

It should be a good game, but I expect us, Cy-Fair, to get smothered. But Sam will put on a good show. He scored 6 touchdowns, several over 40 yards, the last game I saw him play.

Yes, it has a jumbotron (smaller version) with instant replay. Like I said, my taxes.

The football teams from schools in Placentia share a stadium. I wouldn't even call it a stadium, it's a field with bleachers. I think that the stadium is at least 70 years old.

That stadium looks as nice as the Soccer Stadium at Cal State Fullerton.

I went to Cy Creek back in the day.

Cy Creek was known as a Trans-am/Camaro school.

Cy Fair was known as a bunch of hicks and farmers. :D

I have to say that it concerns me when ESPN is showing high school kids on TV. No wonder they get big heads.

It's Texas, and it's football. Should you expect anything less? :)
