#1 Post by BBTranscriptTeam » Sun Jan 22, 2012 6:16 pm

Karen Zucker
Bala Cynwyd, PA

Karen idolizes Judge Judy. Meredith asks how being on Millionaire compares to being a judge. Karen replies that when someone pleads guilty she hasn't asked if that's their final answer, but she might start. She has a new appreciation for how nervous people are when she appears before her because she's nervous appearing before Meredith. Karen has her ATA lifeline remaining and $20,600 in the bank.

Question #9 (Lost Birds)
In 2011, a wayward emperor penguin found in New Zealand about 2,000 miles from home was given what movie-based name?
A - Happy Feet
B - Shrek
C - Bolt
D - Rango

Karen gives a tentative answer and Meredith asks if that's her final answer. Karen grins and says, "Guilty or not guilty."
Spoiler
Answer: A (Happy Feet)
Value: $25,000
Bank: $45,600
Question #10 (Patriot Games)
Benjamin Franklin wrote, "You should not sing nor whistle nor look at your watch" in a 1779 essay titled "on the Morals of" what?
A - golf
B - bridge
C - chess
D - billiards

Karen wants to think it out but not aloud because if she uses her last lifeline (ATA) she wants to keep the audience's thoughts "pure". She has an idea but she's not 100% so she's going to ask "all of you" (the audience).
ATA results
A - 13%
B - 16%
C - 67%
D - 4%
That's what Karen was thinking. She adds that she plays
Spoiler
golf and singing and whistling could only help her game. She doesn't think billiards was invented that long ago, and bridge has been around a long time. Chess requires incredible concentration, but then so does bridge.
Karen has college tuition ahead of her (not hers) so she decides to walk away.
Spoiler
Answer: C (chess)
Value: $5,000
Bank: $22,800 (half the bank)

Spoiler
Too bad she didn't go with the audience. As I'm sure Bob could tell you, bridge isn't that old. In Franklin's day, they played whist.

Depending upon the ATA/JTQ on the pro wrestler question from yesterday I'd have one JTQ or no lifelines remaining. I'd have gone with "chess" without a lifeline, since it requires the most concentration.
